An important informative and practical seminar for exporters was held in the conference hall of Odesa RCCI: ‘Certificates of Origin: Modern Requirements, Digitalisation and Practical Aspects of Paperwork’, which was opened by Svitlana Volkova, Vice President of Odesa RCCI.
In her welcoming speech, she stressed that the main goal of the event was to make the service of issuing certificates of origin more convenient, faster and transparent - this is what business expects today, and this is what the work of ORCCI is aimed at.
The seminar addressed a number of key issues, namely:
- certificate of origin: a formality or a strategic tool in international trade?
- forms of certificates and their application scope;
- ST-GUAM certificate features;
- electronic certificates advantages: modern requirements, convenience and efficiency of digital issue;
- documents for determining the country of origin: practical recommendations, common mistakes, real cases;
- certificates verification in accordance with CMU Resolution No. 1029;
- exporters’ responsibility .
Among the speakers of the event were:
- Oksana Fefilova - a representative of the Customs Tariff Regulation Department of Odesa Customs,
- Alina Koskova – a leading expert of Chornomorsk branch of ORCCI,
- Elvira Vlasenko - Deputy Head of the Certification Department of ORCCI,
- Svitlana Volkova - Vice President of ORCCI.
